Hawks Little League – Spring 2026 FAQ

Registration Dates

Registration for the Spring 2026 season opens November XX, 2025 and closes January 31, 2026.

Late registrations may be accepted if space allows and include a $30 late fee.

2026 Registration Fees

Baseball

• Tee Ball: $100

• Rookies / Coach Pitch: $140

• Minors: $175

• Majors: $175

• Juniors: $175

Softball

• Rookies / Coach Pitch: $140

• Minors: $175

• Majors: $175

• Juniors: $175

Volunteer Opt-Out Fee

Families unable to volunteer can choose a $35 Volunteer Opt-Out Fee instead of a volunteer assignment.

• Those who opt out will not be assigned duties.

• Families who choose to volunteer will receive assignments after registration closes.

This fee helps cover field prep, concessions, equipment needs, and game-day support roles typically filled by volunteers.

• Team jersey and cap

• Field and facility maintenance

• Little League district fees

• League equipment and administrative costs

What Do Families Need to Provide?

Required:

• Baseball: gray pants | Softball: black pants

• Socks and belt (team color assigned by coach)

• Glove

• Cleats

Optional:

• USA-approved game bat

• Personal helmet

• Gear bag

• Batting gloves

League provides team bats, helmets, and catcher’s gear.

Division Breakdown

Baseball (Co-Ed)

• Tee Ball: Ages 4–6

• Rookies / Coach Pitch: Ages 6–8

   

  • LA 6 must have completed 1 year of Tee Ball

   

• Minors: Ages 8–10

   

  • LA 8 must have completed 1 year of Rookies + skills assessment

   

• Majors: Ages 10–12

   

  • LA 10 must have completed 1 year of Minors + skills assessment

   

• Juniors: Ages 13–14

Softball

• Rookies / Coach Pitch: Ages 6–8

• Minors: Ages 8–10

• Majors: Ages 10–12

• Juniors: Ages 13–14

League Boundaries

• Ages 4–7: May register with any Little League.

• Ages 8+: Must reside within Hawks Little League boundaries.

Why is a Birth Certificate Required?

Little League International requires age verification for roster placement and All-Star eligibility.

Season Timeline

• Practices begin: Late March

• Games begin: Early April

• Season ends: June

Why Are Assessments Required?

Evaluations are mandatory for Minors, Majors, and Juniors to ensure well-balanced teams and fair competition.

Friend & Coach Requests

• Allowed: Tee Ball & Rookies (not guaranteed)

• Not allowed: Minors and above (draft rules apply)

Weekly Commitment

Families should expect about 3 baseball/softball activities per week, including practices and games.

How Are Registration Funds Used?

Fees support:

• Field maintenance & improvements

• Equipment replacement

• Umpire development

• Player and coach clinics

• League operations and insurance
