Registration FAQs
How do I sign my child up with a friend?
Step 1: Ask your friend if they already have a small group code.
If not, register as a small group and generate a new code.
Step 2: Save your code (we recommend taking a screenshot so it’s easy to share).
Step 3: Have your friend register by selecting “Register as a small group” and enter your code.
That’s it. We will do our best to place players together while maintaining balanced teams. Friend requests are not guaranteed.
When does practice start?
Practices begin January 13th.
Coaches will provide full practice schedules during Parent/Team Introduction Week, which takes place the first week of January.
When are games played?
Games are played on Saturdays.
What does my registration fee cover?
Hawks Elite operates under La Pine Sports Academy (LPSA), a nonprofit organization.
Registration fees help cover:

Our mission is to provide a structured, competitive, and positive basketball experience for youth in our community.
What is the “Community Sponsors Grant”?
Thanks to generous community sponsors and donations, each player is eligible to receive a $35 grant to help reduce registration costs.
Families are not required to accept the grant. If you choose not to use it, those funds may be redirected toward:

How can I become a sponsor?

Program FAQs
Can my child play with a friend?
Friend requests can be made during registration. While we do our best to accommodate requests, team placement is based on balance and development priorities.
Can my child play up or down a division?
Players are not permitted to play down a division.
Requests to play up may be considered based on skill level and space availability but are not guaranteed.
How many practices and games are there?
Teams typically practice once per week and play one game per week. Most divisions play eight regular season games.
What equipment does my child need?
Players should bring:
Game balls and practice equipment are provided. Jerseys are included with registration.
Are coaches background checked?
Yes. All volunteer coaches are required to complete a background check.
What happens if a game or practice is canceled?
Schedule changes may occur due to facility availability, extreme weather, smoke, or unforeseen circumstances. All updates will be communicated through TeamLinkt.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes. We believe no child should miss the opportunity to play due to financial limitations. Payment plans and scholarships are available. Please contact us confidentially for assistance.
How does Hawks Elite connect to La Pine High School?
Hawks Elite serves as a developmental feeder program for La Pine High School basketball. Our curriculum, structure, and expectations are designed to prepare athletes for middle school and high school competition.
